Second Street Media Solutions (www.secondstreetmedia.com) has an immediate opportunity for a Marketing and Demand Generation Manager. Second Street is a vibrant, growing company that provides private-label solutions for online contests, web photo and video applications and email marketing solutions. Our software solutions are relied upon by more than 1600 media and marketing companies across North America, including CBS, Clear Channel, the Washington Post, Minor League Baseball and hundreds of others.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Marketing and Demand Generation Manager will be responsible for creating highly effective lead generation programs utilizing the latest in online (80%) and offline (20%) marketing methods. Creativity is vital in this role as you establish programs that drive high volume and quality results through lower-cost methods. This person will implement and oversee an integrated, collaborative marketing model. This model will include all corporate assets and leverage new online technology and processes around email, webinars, multi-media, lead nurturing, lead scoring, adwords and other state-of-the-art web methods. In addition, this position will source, write and edit product sales collateral, white papers, presentations, sales guides, newsletters, demo scripts and web content. The position may also manage small-scale events in conjunction with partners and various trade organizations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Development of a corporate marketing plan, aligned with corporate objectives.
- Design and execution of lead generation programs using online and offline methods.
- Establishment of measurable response rates, conversion rates, and ROI for all programs.
- Management of all demand generation activity and data in our Salesforce.com system.
- Perform multivariate testing and modify tactics to improve results.
- Work with direct sales team to track, manage and optimize lead flow, shorten sales cycles and improve conversion rates.
- Write content and manage creative for text and HTML emails, landing pages and web promos and other offline activities.
- Leverage social media to develop relationships and drive and nurture leads.
- Manage web site, internal and external web developers, graphic artists and content contributors.
- Support and manage small-scale trade shows and events.
- Provide clear and regular communication of demand generation activities throughout the company.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Four-year degree in Marketing/Business, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful demand generation programs with high-ROI.
- Familiarization and experience using online marketing technology and methods.
- Strong analytical skills, and excellent organizational skills – have developed, tracked, and measured quantifiable marketing success metrics and are comfortable being measured against them.
- Requires strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple programs and meet tight deadlines.
- The ability to work independently with moderate direction, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential.
- Knowledge and experience with Salesforce.com and a Marketing Automation Platform is a plus.
- Experience managing events.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be friendly, motivated, organized, possess a strong work ethic and be a self starter, with a desire to grow.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Demonstrated ability to utilize Internet Resources. Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers, including word processing and spreadsheet applications. MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Photoshop, HTML, CSS and other related software programs preferred.
